Jyothika had previously appeared in JJ Fredrick's 'Ponmagal Vandhal,' which was released on Amazon Prime. Jyothika's next film, 'Udanpirappe,' will be released on Amazon Prime Video in October, following the critically acclaimed courtroom drama. Era Saravanan of 'Kathukutty' fame is directing this forthcoming film.
Jyothika's 50th film, Udanpirappe, is a watershed moment in her career. In this film, Jyotika portrays a courageous and endearing Tanjore woman. In addition to Sasikumar, Samuthirakani, Soori, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Kalaiyarasan, and Siddhu, the star cast includes Sasikumar, Samuthirakani, Soori, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Kalaiyarasan, and Siddhu. Udanpirappe is about the relationship and rivalry between Vairavan and Mathangi, who are performed by Samuthirakani and Jyothika, respectively.
Sargunam is played by Sasikumar in the film. The plot revolves around Jyotika's attempt to reunite her husband Sasikumar with her brother Samuthirakani. Jyotika was smitten with Saravanan's story and accepted the offer because it met all of her criteria for her 50th picture.
Udanpirappe, which is produced by Suriya's 2D Entertainment, is part of a four-film pact between Amazon Prime Video and the production company. Ruben is taking care of the cuts while Velraj cranks up the camera. D Imman, a national award-winning composer, is composing the soundtrack for this film.
